The Marriner S. Eccles Institute for Economics and Quantitative Analysis sponsors several events and conferences each year.

2025 Conference in Memory of John Morgan

Preliminary Program
May 16 and 17, 2025, Salt Lake City, Utah

The conference is intended to bring together scholars who studied, co-authored, worked with, or were advised by Professor John Morgan.

Registration for the conference is free, thanks to the support of the Marriner S. Eccles Institute. Accommodation will be available at the University Guest House & Conference Center, on the University of Utah campus, at a discounted rate. The registration and hotel link will be available shortly—we will send those out as soon as possible.

The Utah Tax Invitational (UTAXI) brings together researchers looking for real answers to tough public finance questions. This conference leverages the broad insights from researchers at government agencies and universities and provides ample opportunity to exchange knowledge while enjoying the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains.

This conference is collaborative with the aim to advance research at all stages and create new bonds and potential co-author opportunities. All participants are expected to be active contributors.
