Research

The Marriner S. Eccles Institute advances innovative faculty research while engaging students from many disciplines in developing critical quantitative skills with a business economics perspective.

To pursue this mission, the Marriner S. Eccles Institute undertakes a variety of research-related activities. Our Research Briefs series offers blog posts, research notes, and summaries of scholarly papers, all written for a general audience. Our Working Papers series and list of published papers showcases scholarly work by Institute-affiliated faculty. The Marriner S. Eccles Scholars program supports University of Utah undergraduates as they participate in faculty-led research projects focused on issues of interest to the state of Utah. The Institute also offers Research Funding to University of Utah graduate students and faculty. And finally, the Institute sponsors regular Research Seminars and Conferences that bring leading economics scholars from around the world to Utah to share their findings.
